Electrocardiography (ECG/EKG) provides valuable information to the cardiologist about the electrical activity in the heart. The EKG is a highly specialized and technical tool for assessing cardiac function and diagnosing cardiac disease and is a valuable addition to advancing your medical career.
RCI's Electrocardiography (ECG/EKG) Technician Certification Course is a 50-hour program completed over 6 days. This course prepares students for cardiac monitoring including Holter, 12 Lead EKG, and Stress Testing. Successful completion of this course will qualify the student to sit for and take the ASPT (American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians) or NCCT (National Center for Competency Testing) national EKG certification examination.
